Junior Year of College!

Well hello there!

Wow, it's been a while. I know I said previously that homework and writing my book was consuming my life, and that literally didn't stop until last week. Tuesday was my official last day of Junior year, and I'm actually pretty sad. This was possibly the best semester I've had so far, and I'm already dubbing 2018 as my year.

I mad so many memories, from seeing RENT with PRIDE Club, going on a school trip to New York (which will be it's own post because I have many pictures) with my friends to see Aladdin, and meeting some new friends! Is signed up for an English class for this semester, with my favorite professor, that I knew was probably going to kick my ass. What I didn't know was that I wold walk away with an amazing group of friends.

"Put on something cute, we're taking a picture right now." "We have class." "RIGHT NOW"

Basically, we all bonded over our inner turmoil of how the class was going to kill us, while also creating a few inside jokes along the way - "take your shoes off". I spent my first two years of college miserably longing for something like this, but never seeking it out because I had already assumed college wasn't for me. I forced myself to change my mindset for this year, and things got a lot better.

I wouldn't trade any of our 1 o'clock lunches, horrendous jokes, watching my friends be idiotic while drinking vinegar - among other risky things, but I'll leave it at that; you know who you are - and crying over a 9 page paper for anything in the world, and I would gladly do it all again. It's only been like a week, but I miss everyone already.

When people told me I would make memorable friends during college, these were the people they were talking about.

One of our pals actually graduated, and we're all so proud of her :') Congratulations, Sami! I'm excited to see what amazing things the future holds for you. Good luck, out there!

I'm the president of the literary magazine, and we published our first issue, with me being in charge. It was stressful at first, but the process was fairly easy, and we are shooting to publish two editions for the next school year. We presented some works at the Academic Symposium, and started with 75 copies, but by the end of the day we only had about 30ish left. I'd say we did pretty well!

A special shout out to my partner-in-crime, and writing buddy, who manages to keep me creative when I'm feeling burned out. Here's to many more writing sessions! I can't believe we're seniors.

With clubs and schoolwork out of the way, I'm putting all of my energy into writing my book. I just finished the first "part" of it, and only cried three times while writing it - no big deal. That's also why I've neglected trying to get this blog noticed. This book is the best project I've ever started and even though it's no where near finished, I already love it so much, and can't wait to share it with the world on day!
